Kevin Nelson

Kevin began his career with Clayton Homes in 2009 as an Account Representative in Vanderbilt Mortgage.  He spent thirteen years in the Remarketing Department at Vanderbilt Mortgage as an Asset Manager.  Kevin joined the Clayton Manufacturing division in June 2023 here at our Appalachia facility.  Kevin supports South Carolina, Virginia, cost of North Carolina and middle Ohio.

Amy Hall

Amy joined the Clayton Appalachia team in 2022. Before coming to Clayton Appalachia, she worked for The University of Tennessee for five years as an Administrative Assistant. Amy was born and raised in East Tennessee. She is married and has three sons, Alex, Zach, and Skyler.

Teresa Cox

In 2021 Teresa became the Sales Coordinator for Appalachia and has quickly become the anchor and go-to person for all things sales.  She was instrumental in helping achieve the  #1 sales team award for the company and continues to prioritize daily growth and team success.  Prior to joining Clayton in 2020 she was a baseball mom raising the next Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan in her two all-star sons, Wyatt and Jackson. She and her husband Danny have also been married for 19 wonderful years. Teresa is looking forward to driving the team to many more achievements for years to come.

Ryan Jorgensen

Ryan started with Clayton Homes in 2019 as a member if the Home Building Group MIT program. During his 18 month tenure, Ryan received extensive training in production, procurement, service, and sales. Upon completion of the program, Ryan became a CSM for Appalachia in August of 2020. Ryan currently supports Appalachia’s community partners.9

David Briggs

David is an East Tennessee native and has worked at Appalachia since October of 1997. He has a vast knowledge of production experience having worked in the cabinet shop, trim department, and quality assurance department. He most recently worked as the parts acquisitions specialist before becoming head of the department.

Jerry Hylton

Jerry is extremely well versed in the construction of our homes. Starting with the company in June of 1988 as a Utility Team member and team leader for the Rutledge, Halls, Maynardville, and Appalachia plants, as-well-as working in the field as a Service Tech, Jerry has literally seen it all.

Nick Whetsel

Nick started with Clayton Homes in January of 1991 working on the production line at the Ardmore facility. He later moved to parts manager, service manager, and then sales coordinator before becoming an MDM in October of 1996. Nick has also worked for the Clayton Savannah and Giles facilities before joining the Appalachia Team in July of 2019. His current territory is Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.

Phil Dampf

Phil started with the Clayton team in 2011 working for Vanderbilt. He became an MDM at TRU homes in spring of 2018, and now joins the Appalachia team. Phil grew up in Knoxville, TN. His current territory is Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, and part of Eastern Tennessee.

Lucas Heidel

Lucas started working for Clayton Homes in 2016 at the TRU facility in East Tennessee as a Market Development Manager. Upon learning more about the industry and the product he made the transition to Clayton Appalachia in 2018. Lucas’s current territory is West Virginia, North Carolina, and Mississippi.

Allen Patterson

Allen started working with Clayton in 2000 at White Pine, TN.  He trained in various departments including production, service, and purchasing.  He transferred to Waco, TX as an MDM in 2002 then later to Bonham, TX as Sales Manager in 2008.  In 2012 he worked for TRU Homes as the Director of Sales before transferring to Appalachia in 2017 as Sales Manager.

Matt Belcher

Matt has been with Clayton since July 2000. He started with Vanderbilt Mortgage in their Lead Generation and Direct Lending departments before moving to Manufacturing. As an MDM Matt excelled at the El Mirage, AZ, White Pine and Halls, TN facilities before being promoted to sales manager in 2008. In December of 2016, Matt was named General Manager after spending five years as Appalachia’s Sales Manager.
